The Mason County Airport office houses a One Stop Shop servicing visitors, residents, entrepreneurs, and area businesses. The services are provided by the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce, Ludington Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Mason County Growth Alliance, SCORE, and Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center^TM

(MI-SBTDC^TM).

The Ludington & Scottville Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to promote economic growth and prosperity for its members and the community. Our goals in 2010 are to add value to membership, improve communication with our members and the community, partner with both Ludington & Scottville to develop the downtown cores, strengthen our partnerships with local and regional organizations, and lastly, to continue to support the community through special events.

Ludington Area Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (CVB) mission is to provide tourism leadership in Mason County by generating increased visitor stays through effective marketing, collaborative partnerships, and a quality visitor experience. As a membership organization, the CVB serves as an official point of contact for tour operators and visitors. They assist and encourage travelers to visit local historic, cultural, and recreational sites. Finally, the CVB offers unbiased information about the area’s services and facilities.

Mason County Growth Alliance is a nonprofit organization established for the purpose of attracting, expanding and retaining business and industry in Mason County. Their goals are to:

• Create quality job opportunities
• Diversify the local economy
• Improve the overall quality of life in our community
• Function as a one stop/single point of contact for economic development resources.

SCORE is a national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. Counselors work with entrepreneurs through every phase of their entrepreneurial venture: generating and assessing ideas, preparing a business plan, raising capital, and managing the operations and finances of the growing venture. SCORE maintains strict confidentiality for all counseling sessions.
